Earlams is a community-run store, café and gallery in Styal, Cheshire. It was established in 2014 by a group of villagers who wanted to create a vibrant and welcoming space for the community.

The store sells a wide range of goods, including groceries, fresh produce, local produce, and gifts. The café offers a range of food and drinks, as well as a space for people to relax and socialize. The gallery hosts a variety of exhibitions, from art and photography to crafts and textiles.

Our Story

Styal has had a village store since the 1800s. In 2014, the village store closed down. The villagers were disappointed and wanted to find a way to bring a store back to the village.

A group of villagers came together and formed a community-owned company to run a new store. They raised money through a community share offer and secured a lease on the old store premises.

The new store, café and gallery opened in 2014. It was a success from the start and quickly became a popular destination for villagers and visitors alike.
