Levenshulme Old Library

Levenshulme Old Library is a historic Carnegie library building in the heart of Levenshulme, South Manchester. It was opened in 1904 thanks to £500 raised by the community and £2,500 from Andrew Carnegie. The building is a Grade II listed structure and is one of the most architecturally significant buildings in Levenshulme.

In 2012, Levenshulme Old Library was closed by Manchester City Council due to budget cuts. However, the building was saved from demolition thanks to the efforts of a local community group, the Levenshulme Old Library Campaign. The campaign group raised £1 million to buy the building and to convert it into a community arts centre.

Levenshulme Old Library reopened in 2016 as a community arts centre. The centre offers a variety of activities and events, including:
