We have many helpers within the choir who assist with setting up for rehearsal and greeting members and visitors as they arrive, checking the safety of venues, organising celebrations, and not forgetting our wonderful Heather Mithen and Anna Ossy-Orley who provide the choir with afternoon tea each week.
The Choir is a not-for-profit, volunteer based registered organisation, relying on performance fees, grants and donations to keep us singing. Our costs include: rent for the rehearsal hall, insurance, catering, uniforms, storage, printing of books and song sheets, bus hire, and stipend payment for the Choir Director. We thank the many individuals who support the choir financially throughout the year.
Pass the Song Along, written by Bernard Carney, was the signature song for Sing for Health Week in 2017. Bernard wrote the song for everyone to have fun singing and promote the health benefits of singing and being part of a community..
