We know a lot of pet shops claim they’re different from all the others – but we really mean it! We promise that all of our products are safe, wholesome, and healthy for the pets they are intended for.
The Nature Nook is a Community Interest Company (CIC), a special type of social enterprise in the UK. This means its primary goal is to benefit the community rather than make a profit for private owners. All of the profits generated by The Nature Nook are reinvested directly back into its core purpose: animal rescue and care. This non-profit approach distinguishes it from a typical pet store and positions it as a community-focused organization dedicated to animal welfare.
The Nature Nook specializes in providing a wide range of products for exotic animals and "small furries," with a strong emphasis on reptile, bird, and rodent care. Their product line includes:
The business prides itself on offering quality, ethical advice based on years of experience, ensuring that customers are well-informed about the proper care of their pets.
The animal rescue service is at the heart of The Nature Nook's mission. The initiative began in late 2021 when the organization took in a false map turtle named Terry, whose owner could no longer care for it. Since then, the rescue has grown to rehome over 60 animals, with a particular focus on birds and reptiles.
@thenaturenookuk #stitch with @The Nature Nook UPDATE: I did it and the link is in my bio! Also I forgot to mention but that video made about £50! Not quite an electricity bill but I'll take it. Thank you again everyone! #animalrescue #animalcare #rabbitcare #reptilerescue
The cost of caring for each rescued animal is estimated to be between £80 and £150, and these expenses are covered entirely by the profits from their sales. By supporting the shop, customers are directly contributing to the rescue and rehoming of animals in need.
