Here at the BAMUNAANIKA Projects, we're dedicated to empowering orphans and uplifting our community in Mityana, Uganda. We believe in the power of collaboration and connection, and that's why we're so grateful for the incredible support we receive from a network of caring individuals.
Education for All:
One of our core goals is ensuring every child has access to quality education. Through the generosity of our supporters, we've been able to fund educational programs, provide essential learning materials, and even connect with educators who offer invaluable mentorship to our children.
Beyond the Classroom – Skills for Life:
We believe education goes beyond textbooks. We've launched initiatives like our furniture restoration project, where our youth gain valuable vocational skills and learn the importance of self-reliance. We've even begun creating sustainable products like our very own line of natural vaseline! This not only provides income-generating opportunities but also promotes eco-friendly practices within the community.
Empowering Elders – Preserving Traditions:
The wisdom and experience of our elders are invaluable. Thanks to our network of supporters, we've been able to create a platform for our elders to share their skills through traditional crafts workshops. This not only preserves cultural heritage but also empowers them to generate income and stay actively engaged in community life. We meet as a community, we sing, we share food and stories. We love to dance!

Sewing the Seeds of a Brighter Future:
We're excited to announce a new project – a seed to stitch sewing program that will introduce students to ethical and sustainable fashion creation. This initiative by Dr LeeAnn Teal Rutkovsky will equip them with valuable skills they can use to build careers or even launch their own businesses. Our supporters are helping us secure resources and connect with experienced instructors to make this dream a reality.
Growing Independence: Our School Community Farm:

Food security is a cornerstone of a healthy and thriving community. Our most ambitious project yet is the establishment of a school community farm. From seed to sustainability and seed to stitch projects we are more positive for the future. Through the support of our network, we'll teach our children the essential life skill of growing their own food. This hands-on learning experience will not only nourish their bodies but also foster a connection to the land and a sense of self-sufficiency.
Learning Through Creativity:
We believe in fostering a love of learning that extends beyond the practical. Through the generosity of our supporters, we've been able to incorporate art and creativity into our curriculum. Learning about vegetables, plants, and flowers becomes an engaging experience as the children express themselves through vibrant drawings.
